Storage & Off-Season

Winterization & boat storage.

Protect your investment through harsh Ohio winters. Professional winterization and heated storage in one place — climate-controlled facility, 24/7 surveillance.

Ohio winters are brutal on boats. Freezing temperatures, snow, ice, and wind can cause severe damage to your hull, engine, systems, and interior if your boat isn't properly prepared for hibernation. From cracked blocks and corroded metal to frozen plumbing and ruined batteries, winter damage is costly and often preventable.

For over 13 years, we've been helping Marblehead's boat owners protect their most valuable assets with comprehensive winterization services and secure storage solutions. Whether you need a complete winterization package or just storage space, we've got you covered.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions.

When should I winterize my boat?
Mid-October through early November is ideal — before the first hard freeze. Lake Erie typically sees freezing temps by mid-November, and once water in the engine block, plumbing, or livewells freezes, you're looking at expensive cracked components. Book early — we fill up fast.
What's included in a full winterization?
Engine fogging, fuel stabilizer, lower-unit oil change, cooling system antifreeze flush, battery disconnect and conditioning, fresh water system blowout, bilge drainage, gear lube change, and interior moisture protection. We also document the work so you know exactly what was done.
How is storage pricing calculated?
Based on overall length × beam (or square footage for shrink-wrap yard storage). Indoor heated storage is priced per linear foot. Contact us for a custom quote tailored to your specific boat — we don't do one-size-fits-all.
Can I access my boat during winter storage?
Yes — for indoor heated storage, we make access easy during business hours so you can check on your boat or pick up gear. Outdoor shrink-wrapped boats require unwrapping, so plan ahead and call to schedule.
What does spring commissioning include?
De-winterization, full engine inspection, fluid checks, battery test and recharge, hull and bottom inspection, sea trial assistance, and a complete safety walk-through. We make sure your boat is launch-ready, not just unwrapped.
Do you offer haul-out and transport services?
Yes. We handle haul-out from your dock or marina, transport to our facility, and launch in spring. Included in most outdoor storage packages, available as an add-on for indoor.
