Service Agreements
All marine service work is performed under written work orders that you approve before any labor begins. We diagnose first, quote second, work third — no surprise charges. Final invoices may vary if additional issues are discovered during work, but we will contact you for approval before exceeding the original estimate.
Warranty
New Suzuki outboards installed by Terry's Marine carry full Suzuki Marine factory warranty per Suzuki's published terms (typically 5 years for recreational use). Repairs and labor are warranted for 90 days against workmanship defects. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty as supplied.
Storage Terms
Boats stored at our facility are covered by 24/7 surveillance and our standard care of property. Storage rates are billed per season and payable in advance. Boats remaining beyond paid storage period are subject to additional fees. Terry's Marine maintains insurance against damage from our negligence; storage clients are responsible for their own hull and contents insurance.
Sales & Brokerage
New and pre-owned boats are sold AS-IS following sea trial and inspection unless otherwise noted in writing on the bill of sale. Pre-owned boats include limited mechanical inspection by our technicians; buyers are encouraged to commission independent surveys for boats over 25 ft or values exceeding $50,000.
Financing
Financing is provided exclusively by Sheffield Financial Company, a Truist subsidiary. Terry's Marine is not a lender; we facilitate applications. All credit decisions, terms, and conditions are at Sheffield's sole discretion. See our Financing page for complete disclosures.
Limitation of Liability
Terry's Marine Service's liability for any service or product is limited to the amount paid for that service or product. We are not liable for consequential damages, lost time, or lost income arising from delays in service or product failure beyond manufacturer warranty terms.
